Prior to treatment, we will apply topical numbing cream 15-30 minutes before starting the microneedling process. This ensures comfort throughout the treatment. For most patients, microneedling is not considered to be painful; however, it may be mildly uncomfortable.
Once the skin is numbed, we will apply a reparative serum and begin passing the microneedling pen back and forth all over your desired treatment area(s). The tiny needles within the pen will create thousands of micro-injuries, triggering a natural healing response which, when healed, leads to a smooth, glowing complexion. Once the session is complete, we’ll apply another layer of reparative serum, along with SPF, as your skin will be extra sensitive to the sun after your treatment. Your skin may become red and tight after your session, similar to the sensation that comes with a mild sunburn.
