You’ve probably received dozens of notes from all kinds of companies letting you know how they’re dealing with COVID-19.

This one’s slightly different.

I am pretty sure you don’t care exactly how I am cleaning my office, or about my remote staffing plans, or how I am managing my business. What you probably care most about is you, your loved ones, your business and maybe wondering if we can still serve you and meet your needs. To the later let me say we are figuring it out as we go like many of you. Currently we are still able to serve our clients in well over 95% of the cases. Of course everything continues to change.

To the former points about you, your loved ones and your business.

I am thinking of you, your family, your business, and all of those directly impacted by the virus.

I look forward to the, hopefully very near future, where once again the world is on its proper axis and it is considered appropriate to meet in person. There’s nothing like a face to face to really communicate. Until then we’ll work thru phone calls, emails, zoom meetings, skype, social media or whatever it takes to communicate and assist you however we can.

But today’s message is one of thanks, and hope.

To our clients; thank you for your business, your loyalty and your friendship. That means so much to us. To those of you I know only thru social media; thank you for connecting. The conversations we have shared and the wisdom and insight gained from your posts are truly appreciated.

As to hope, there is always an abundance of hope available to us from many sources.

For example, take these quotes from our old friend Dale Carnegie.

Our thoughts make us what we are.

The best possible way to prepare for tomorrow is to concentrate with all your intelligence, with all your enthusiasm, on doing today’s work superbly today. That is the only possible way you can prepare for the future.

You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you

The words “Think and Thank” are inscribed in many of the Cromwellian churches of England. These words ought to be inscribed in our hearts, too: “Think and Thank”. Think of all we have to be grateful for, and thank God for all our boons and bounties.

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon – instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

If a person will devote their time to securing facts in an impartial, objective way, their worries will usually evaporate in the light of knowledge.

(Boy, wouldn’t we love it if we could get the news media to adhere to this concept!)

“There is one all-important law to all human conduct. If we obey that law, we shall almost never get into trouble. In fact, that law, if obeyed, will bring us countless friends and constant happiness. That law is this: Always make the other person feel important.”

Or if you’re inclined to look at an even older resource, the Bible, you will find many words of encouragement there as well.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Isaiah 40:29

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. Psalm 118:14

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Ephesians 6:10

Everyone knows these are truly unprecedented times we are living in. These uncommon times call for uncommon valor, faith, hope and love to make it thru. We will survive and thrive!
