Quantum Growth® Green Pepper Trial

• 24% increase in yield

• 25% decrease in fertilizer

• 30-fold return on investment

Location:

Rutgers New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station

Date:

October 24, 2012

Objective:

Conduct a trial to determine the benefit of incorporating 1 gallon of Quantum Growth into their Green Pepper protocol (64 oz at transplant, 32 oz at pre-bloom and 32 oz at fruit set).

Results Achieved:

The trial used 25% less fertilizer than normally included in the protocol, resulting in a 24% increase in yield and a 30-fold return on investment.

Quantum Growth improved potato growers’

overall productivity by 31%.

Location:

Various potato growers in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Background:

In 2010, four potato growers in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil participated in a study to test the benefits of Quantum Growth on their crop. The experiment was supervised by Professor André Palermo Tonietti from UNIPINHAL, University of Pinhal located in the city of Espirito Santo do Pinhal.

Results Achieved:

Treatment with Quantum Growth improved overall productivity by 31%, providing an increased revenue of R$ 5,513.51. The University concluded that based on the results of the experiment, Quantum Growth Technology successfully demonstrated its potential as a productivity enhancer and results indicate that it can be used on the Brazilian Potato Production System with success.

The Experiment:

Each farm was visited 5 times during the experiment. Product was applied according to instructions from Ecological Laboratories, Inc (ELI). In the first visit to the farm ELI representatives explained the application protocol and benefits of Quantum Growth. On the second visit, the potato seeding was performed with the addition of one gallon per hectare of Quantum-VSC to the treated plots. Thirty days later Quantum-VSC was applied again to the soil and after an additional 30 days Quantum-Light was sprayed on the leaves. Plants were harvested 30 days after the last application.

Boomplaas Farm Potato Trial

Borneo Farm Potato Trial

Start Date: 22/10/2014

Farm: Boomplaas

Farmer: Nicolaas Lourens

Location: Reitz

Date of Planting:

17/10/2014

Date of Harvesting:

02/06/2015

Start Date: 22/10/2014

Farm: Borneo

Farmer: Marius Lourens

Location: Reitz

Date of Planting:

21/09/2014

Date of Harvesting:

Application Details

Application Details

Date: 22/10/2014

Mixture: 2.5L Quantum-VSC and 2.5L Quantum-Light

mixed with 200L of water

Rate: Applied at a rate of 200 litres p/ha in the second

layer furrow before ridging

Method: In separate spray tank on potato ridger

Notes: Herbicide and fertilizer were applied at the same time as the Quantum Growth but from a separate tank.

Harvest Details

Date: 21/10/2014

Mixture: 2.5L Quantum-VSC and 2.5L Quantum-Light

mixed with 200L of water

Rate: Applied at a rate of 200 litres p/ha at approx. 40cm above ground

Method: Through spray tank behind tractor

Notes: The crop was under irrigation and was not affected by any drought throughout the season. Only 1 application was given and was applied at 4 weeks after planting. This is not according to recommended guidelines, but still proved to show very successful results.

Date: 02/06/2015

Method: 25 meters of every row on both the control and Quantum Growth applied hectares were cordoned off (approx. 300 m2). Within each section, every potato was weighed. This yielded a total weight for each section. The potatoes were then taken to separate sorting tables where both the control and the Quantum Growth potatoes were sorted into large, medium, small and wastage potatoes.

Harvest Details

Date: 02/06/2015

Method: A full harvest was done on the entire hectare of both the Quantum and control hectares. Counting was done on all the large bags of potatoes that was delivered to the warehouse to determine the per hectare increase in weight.

Difference in potato yield between the control section (left pallet) and the Quantum section (right pallet).

The control plants (left) had a smaller root structure with less potato nodes compared to the Quantum plants (right).

Control potatoes are top and right. Quantum potatoes are on the left.

Quantum Growth® Increased Squash Harvest by 30%

Location:

H&R Farms, Glenville, GA

Background:

In such a competitive market farmers are always looking for means of assuring and improving their harvest. Squash is produced on over 46,000 acres in the US producing crops worth almost $250 million (2010).

Objective:

H&R Farms heard of the benefits claimed by users of Quantum Growth products and decided to run a trial. Quantum Growth is a series of beneficial soil and plant microbial inoculants. They are the result of nearly a decade of research and development.

Results Achieved:

The technical support team at Ecological Labs developed a protocol for inoculating a trial section of the farm with Quantum Growth. The evidence of faster, healthier growth was evident just 16 days after planting. At harvest, the treated crops showed a 30% increase in yield versus control, from 8,800 to 11,424 average pounds per acre. The treated plants appeared significantly healthier throughout the trial. The microorganisms in Quantum Growth work naturally to provide food and energy for plants allowing them to focus on root growth and fruit production. This results in a healthier, heartier plant with increased yields and decreased dependency on supplemental irrigation, fertilizer, and pesticides.

Figure 1. Early growth shows obvious benefit of inoculation with Quantum Growth.

Figure 2. The increased plant growth results from increased root mass in plants treated with Quantum Growth. This picture shows the difference between treated and control.

39% Increase in Tomato Yield with Quantum Growth®

Location:

Nolt Farm, Pennsylvania

Background:

The Nolt Farm experienced excellent results from the utilization of Quantum-Light® and Quantum-VSC® on a number of crops. They decided to extend the use of Quantum Growth to their tomatoes.

Objective:

Using two applications of 32 oz. of Quantum-Light and 32 oz. of Quantum-VSC (at outplanting and first flowering), document appearance and yield differences between treated and control (grower’s best practice).

Results Achieved:

Notable difference in stalk girth and root mass between control and treated. 39% increase in yield from treated area.

Figure 1. Control (right) and treated (left) 7 days after outplanting from the greenhouse. Visual difference in root mass and stalk girth. Note how the control root mass still maintains much of the shape of the tray it was outplanted from.

Figure 2. Control (left) and treated (right) at first flowering. Significant differences in the root mass and stalk girth continue to be observed.

Figure 3. Control (left) and treated (right) during fruit set. Along with larger root mass and stalk girth, the treated plants were setting more tomatoes.
